Rie Yamada (re-)konstruiert in "Familie werden" aus alten Foto-Alben komplette Lebensläufe. Dabei schlüpft sie selbst in die Rollen ihrer Protagonisten, bildet die Settings der Vorlagen bis ins kleinste Detail nach und schafft so ein liebevoll humoristisches Wechselspiel zwischen Fiktion und Wirklichkeit.
In "Becoming Family" Rie Yamada (re-)constructs entire biographies culled from old photo albums. She slips into the roles of her protagonists, personally reconstructs the complete settings down to the last detail, and engages in a tenderly humoristic game of roleplaying between fiction and reality..
